ChokeHold is a short horror film set during a brutal Midwestern winter. A woman wakes on the bank of a freezing river, her body alive but wrong. Rot clings to her bones, grief to what remains of her heart. Guided by instinct and unfinished devotion, she returns to the home of her wife’s deeply religious family. There, she finds the woman she loves still breathing, but suffocating beneath faith, and expectation. As the boundaries between love and intrusion blur, the revenant confronts a home that allowed grief to fester into control. The encounter ends in violence when her lover’s father defends belief with a shotgun.
