Mark, a man with no memory of his childhood, inherits a remote farmhouse from the father he never knew. He travels there with his girlfriend Kate to find answers about his mysterious past. They discover his father was obsessed with the occult, believing he could achieve immortality by summoning the child-devouring demon Lamashtu to possess Mark in the womb. On the second night in the house, Kate disappears. As supernatural events begin to unfold, Mark has disturbing visions and flashbacks suggesting he brutally killed his own mother as a child while under Lamashtu's influence. In the end, Mark becomes an unwitting pawn in the machinations of Lamashtu and his father to complete a ritual that began three decades ago.
