ANTONOMASIA

At the onset of the Cristero War in Mexico, Quintin, a paranoid priest, incites the townspeople to prepare for an attack by the approaching army; simultaneously, believing this event marks the beginning of the apocalypse and the birth of the Antichrist, he abducts María, acting on the commands of the voices that plague him. As María remains held captive and social turmoil engulfs the town, Quintin finds himself running out of time to carry out his mission.
