The Anguished Girl
The Anguished Girl is a short film set in the 1950s about a young painter obsessed with creating the ultimate work of art: a canvas capable of containing her soul and reaching absolute perfection. Haunted by the influence of her former painting teacher, an obsessive figure who embodied the idea of perfection, she gradually loses herself in her own artistic process. As she paints, the boundary between reality and hallucination begins to fade. Her memories, her mind, and the artwork merge, turning creation into psychological collapse. The canvas becomes both a refuge and a prison, reflecting her inner descent. The film explores the fragile line between creation and madness, and questions how far one can go in the pursuit of artistic ambition and perfection.
