Chobbish
"Chobbish," a screenplay based on George Orwell's 1984, is a story of a revolution against a totalitarian system of control. The narrative follows Biplab Gupta, a solitary man who is secretly monitoring something and is being tracked by an unseen organization. He is eventually captured and taken to a secret interrogation room by a man named A24, who reveals that his project is about achieving "total control" and that he is the judge, jury and executioner. A24 interrogates Gupta on his private thoughts and movements, uncovering that Gupta has no official identity and that his existence is inconsistent across various records. The story also follows a group of villagers who are part of a resistance, led by a man named Bhola. During his interrogation, Gupta realizes that the project's goal is to brainwash him to stop his revolution in the jungle. He then cleverly turns the tables, making A24 question his own memories and motivations, revealing that A24 is also a victim of the very system he enforces. As the villagers storm the facility, a man named Bhim Sen, a victim of the system, breaks free and helps Swadhin (Gupta) escape. The screenplay ends with Swadhin and Bhola realizing that their fight has just begun and that they now understand the true nature of their enemy. The final scene shows A24 sitting blankly, a testament to the system's ability to erase individual identity and memory.
