HorrorHound Weekend: Night Terrors!

We have some updates to announce in regards to the after-hours events for Friday and Saturday nights as well as the annual costume contest – so please read carefully.

HorrorHound is excited to present an IT themed party on Friday night to celebrate the release of the new film. Doors will open at 10:00pm and festivities go on until 1:00am. Access to this event is free to ALL HHW ticket holders. Festivities on Friday night will include SCAREoke and music by Blue Sky Entertainment. Please be sure to sign up for the karaoke fun on the official HorrorHound Weekend Facebook page by commenting on the SCAREoke post with your name and song choice.

Also planned for the evening is a special Clown Costume Contest, as well as games and numerous giveaways of IT promo items supplied by New Line PR including full-size and mini posters, buttons, balloons, bags, beach balls, raincoats, backpacks, and even free tickets to see IT in theaters. If that’s not enough to get you clownin’, a makeup artist will be on hand to help attendees get in the mood with a free face paint.

A special KIDS ONLY costume contest will be held on Saturday afternoon at 5:00pm in the Q&A/Panel Ballroom. This is for children 14 and under only. Registration will begin at 4:00pm outside the Q&A/Panel Ballroom. Please come and support this awesome event! *Parent or guardian must be present for all children entering contest.

Saturday night’s after-hours event will feature our second HorrorHound: Night Terrors Costume Ball! Starting at 8:00pm, we will open the doors to the Q&A/Panel Ballroom for an evening of entertainment including a special presentation by Tom Savini and Distortions Unlimited – The Dawn of Masks, performances by G Tom Mac and Tim Cappello, a memorial to Joel McElwee as well as the annual Horrors of Cosplay costume contest. To top off the evening, the other “lost boys” from Santa Carla aka Cruz, Stellar Corpses, will make their first-ever appearance at HHW Indianapolis!

Costumes are not mandatory – though we do encourage all ball-goers to come dressed up in your best horrific threads! The Ball will go well past midnight as HorrorHounds dance the night away to the music of DJ Joel, and the Marriott will be offering various drinks, including the premier of HorrorHound Ale Part Two by Scarlett Lane Brewing! Entrance to the Saturday after-hours event is free to all HHW Weekend and VIP ticket holders (or those participating in the Horrors of Cosplay Costume Contest).

As mentioned, the Horrors of Cosplay costume contest will be a part of the HorrorHound: Night Terrors Costume Ball festivities! Starting at 8:30pm on Saturday, we will have a photo-op station set up at the back of the ballroom, where costumed contestants will take a professional photo for HorrorHound Magazine with our event staff, receive a contestant number, and will be judged by a small group of selected professionals. Photos and judging will take place between 8:30pm and 10:30pm. After entering the contest – we ask that you enjoy the evening’s entertainment, show off your costumes, and wait for the next step! At 11:00pm, the finalists of the costume contest will be announced – based on initial judging. A select number of finalists will be called to stage, by number, and the winners will be announced! Prizes will be awarded for best ORIGINAL costume design – best MOVIE-BASED costume design – and best OVERALL!
