We have an unprecedented guest change to announce for HorrorHound Weekend: Cincinnati. Dick Warlock has been moved from our November Cincinnati HHW event guest list and will now be attending our March 2011 event in Indianapolis, Indiana. In his stead, we are excited to announce the addition of fellow-Michael Myers actor and stuntman, George P. Wilbur.
George has worked on over 100 projects as both actor and stuntman - but is most well known for his portrayal as Michael Myers in both Halloween 4 and Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers. George appeared alongside Danielle Harris and Kathleen Kinmont in Halloween 4, making for a reunion on this 22-year-old classic (as all three actors will be appearing at HorrorHound Weekend now, this November 12-14th).
Ironically, George has also worked on both Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 (joining Mark Wilson and Billy Bryan for our Ghostbusters event). George worked as a stuntman in Ghostbusters, while appearing on-screen in "GB2" as a Bailiff in the opening courtroom sequence. Furthering the irony, George also worked on the 1985 flick - Re-Animator, as a stuntman (doubling Robert Sampson). As many should know - we are presenting a special Re-Animator reunion at this November's HHW, making for yet another amazing connection.
George's work ranges from cult classics to bonafide pop culture hits. Included in his resume: Halloween 5, Silence of the Lambs, Dr. Giggles, The 'burbs, A Nightmare on Elm Street 5, Monster Squad, Poltergeist 2, Repossessed, Firestarter, Fletch, Escape from New York, Beastmaster, Spider-Man, Raw Deal, Planet of the Apes, Blacula, Casino, Blazing Saddles, Towering Inferno, Grizzly, Die Hard, Running Man and Total Recall.

Halloween 4 is my favorite sequel in the Halloween series so this is awesome news. I have met Danielle and George before but it will be sweet to meet Kathleen. I'd love to round it out with Ellie, Sasha and Beau though--three others I have never met. That would be so awesome! Especially Ellie!

This is a fantastic addition! Now we just need to get Ellie on board! For that matter, I wouldn't mind seeing Don Shanks again - it could always be a Halloween 4 & 5 reunion.
I have to admit, though, I'm bummed about Dick Warlock. I may get crucified for saying this, but H2 is my all-time favorite. Granted, it was the first Halloween movie I ever watched, and I was all of 9 years old at the time, but it scared the bejesus out of me!!! The slow, methodical way that he moved through his scenes, and the look in his eyes when he shoved poor Nurse Karen's face into the scalding hot tub water solidly anchored Michael Myers as the scariest s.o.b. of all horror-dom in my head.
I truly hope he DOES make an appearance in Indi in March.

Halloween 2 is in my opinion, one of the greatest sequels ever made. If for anything, because it is really just a great continuation of the first fikm which is rarely seen. How many sequels pick up exactly where the original left off and take place on the same exact night? While Warlock didn't capture Nick Castle's movements exactly, I do feel he's the closest Michael to Castle. After this one, all of the Michael's became a lot larger and buffer. Plus the mask (I know there is speculation whether or not it was the original one) was the closest to the original mask. Halloween 2 is suspenceful, has a great soundtrack and I love the film. I think it might have been the first Halloween film I saw too. I saw it on BETA...lol.
I met Dick Warlock at Fright Night Film Fest back in 2008...he's a cool guy. He'll be worth the wait till Indy.
ELLIE, ELLIE, ELLIE, ELLIE!

Well, I'm disappointed. Dick was the main draw for me
besides Danielle. I won't be able to attend the
Indy weekend, so it sucks for me. I know the weekend
will still be fun, but he was the one I was most
looking forward to. Edited:7/8/2010 2:43:47 PM (grady)

Dick Was better than NicK Castle in my opinion. And the mask was the same mask used in H1...Guaranteed. The info on the mask came direct from Dick who kept the mask and costume at the end of H2

Okay Sheep...now I really want a booth at the Cincy show!! ELLIE!!!
I just have to say this about Ellie, and it really makes me happy to see so many others so excited about her too. I think Rachel was one of the best "final girls" ever. The final girls have always been likeable but Ellie was extremely likeable, cute and tough. There's just something about her in Halloween 4 that made me think, "That's the kind of girlfriend I want." I dare say she was a better Michael Myers opponent than the great Laurie Strode. The chemistry she had with Danielle was so strong and so well written it makes me wonder why some people diss Part 4. Part 4 for me was a great film that got it right. I really feel it was the last great Halloween movie. I love every minute of it and the prospect of having four or more of the stars from the film has me very excited. Can we bring Donald Pleasance back to life?

Not to mention the poster for Part 4 was the best in the series. That poster rocks!

Definitely, sheep! That would go a long way toward easing the pain of missing Dick.
I think I speak for everyone when I say I really appreciate the effort you guys put forth
in the mag and setting up the cons to satisfy as many people as possible! I'm just
sorry it took me so long to get on board!

I've been trying to read through the forums and see if his name has been mentioned...but I gave up and figured I'd post and ask.
If you guys can get Ellie, how about Sasha? That would make for an awesome Halloween 4 reunion.
