No your eyes are not deceiving you; it's finally here.  The old previous lil site we had online outgrew his britches and now this new beast has stepped in.

Everything we would've liked to have implemented didn't make in this build but at least the foundation is now here to build upon.

Lots of testing has been done with Firefox, IE and Safari... Please post any problems you encounter under the Support forums.

*Note* To everyone who has posted a review in the past on the old site... You'll want to go back and rate that particular thread.  Rating your review thread is now considered your "rating" for that movie review and will be displayed on other pages.

We have decided to open a new section of the HorrorHound Forum devoted solely to the VHS Boom of the '80s - and more specifically - their movies. This is an off-shoot from our Remembering the VHS Boom article series (as seen in recent issues of HorrorHound Magazine) in which various HorrorHound Magazine staffers will be reviewing many of the films talked about in this article series - as we known many readers may have never even heard of most of these films (most titles of which aren't even available on DVD)! We urge you to post your own reviews of these "classic" titles and give us feedback on our VHS Boom article series - ideas of what you want to see in future installments and feedback on our own branded reviews! Enjoy!...

The following interview took place via phone while Bruce Campbell was driving from New Orleans to Austin where he was about to premiere his latest directorial/acting work: My Name is Bruce. The film revolves around Bruce (himself) as he is kidnapped by a small redneck town in hopes of using his demon-killing knowledge to rid said town of a cursed spirit that threatens the lives of all who live there. Unbeknownst to the town, Bruce is just an actor, and unbeknownst to Bruce, the demon is real. The film is being toured city to city currently by Bruce himself, and is being released via Dark Horse Comics. Bruce previously worked with Dark Horse on his last project, The Man with the Screaming Brain, as the underground comic company released a tie-in comic and mini-bust feat...

Mystery Science Theater 3000
20th Anniversary Edition DVD

I have been bugging the Shout Factory for the past month about obtaining a review sample of this set, mostly for my love of Mystery Science Theater 3000... When I was a kid, I would stay up past my bedtime and watch the weekly roll-out of MST3K on Comedy Central, and I loved ever single second of the show. I am a fan of cheesy sci-fi and horror romps and sometimes it can be rough sitting through some of these films. The crew from the Satellite of Love helped me through a number of such films - many of which I can watch today without the luxury of the riffing crew... but I always remember my favorite lines. When the crew took flight (thanks to an unneeded cancellation from Comedy Central - moving to Sci-Fi Cha...

Saw V

What can I say about Saw V? I find it amusing that Disney decided to open High School Musical 3 against it theatrically... which will no doubt remove the Saw franchise from it's #1 opening weekend throne - the week of Halloween at that. I noticed fewer commercials for Saw V than its predecessors and you are working off a storyline that you hope this mass fanbase is still interested in after four years. A storyline that currently lacks the main star - Tobin Bell, the original Jigsaw killer. the guy NECA and Medicom made those toys of... he is dead. If you didn't know that, then the marketing for this sequel, it's competition and potential regression of a fan-base is the least of Lionsgate's problems. Lets work on a new one - the film...

Saw V continues the ...

My Name is Bruce

This week I had the pleasure of having an advance screening of My Name is Bruce, the latest small-budget limited release feature starring the man with the silver chin, Bruce Campbell. So where has our hero from the Evil Dead trilogy ended up? After a couple titles most fans would rather forget (ie: Alien Apocalypse, The Man with the Screaming Brain), there was a little hesitation on my end before deciding to move forward with this title's viewing. The promotional material I witnessed prior had given me little confidence to move forward, teasing Bruce as "himself," although a little more of an ass-hole than usual, and fighting a samurai ghost thing... something that appeared to be straight out of Scooby-Doo.... regardless, I had an opportunity and I chose to take it....

Most recurring board members may have noticed a lack of updates lately regarding HorrorHound Weekend. There has been a good reason for this. Various problems have posed themselves to us over the past month pertaining to our upcoming Detroit convention, which was scheduled for the weekend of October 24-26th. Due to issues, which cannot currently be fully discussed, we have been forced to postpone the planned-event which was set to be our sixth such event in just two years. Working through a problem this past two weeks with our hotel in Ypsilanti, we have been forced to move the show date to an unspecified June 2009 date (to be finalized shortly). This move, while extremely unfortunate and ill timed, does allow us the ability to focus on some issues the event has maintained in hopes of tweak...
