Hocus Pocus Voted Number One Halloween Film!?

Who reigns this Halloween? Apparently Disney's Hocus Pocus does – which is fitting – especially considering the 25-year-old classic family horror comedy dons the cover of the latest issue of HorrorHound Magazine! FandangoNOW, the digital on-demand streaming service from Fandango, announced this week that Hocus Pocus has become the #1 voted movie to watch on Halloween. According to an online survey for 2018, here’s what a large population of the streaming community are going to be watching on Wednesday night while the trick or treaters are knocking on your door:

1 – Hocus Pocus

2 – The Nightmare Before Christmas

3 – Beetlejuice

4 – IT

5 – Halloween (1978)

6 – The Shining

7 – A Quiet Place

8 – Edward Scissorhands

9 – Psycho

10 – Practical Magic

Again – this is all from a recent FandanagoNOW survey. Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis said of the reveal; "For an entire generation, Hocus Locus embodies the spirit of the Halloween holiday. It's one of the few Halloween movies that works for the entire family and reminds you of your timeless childhood memories."

We are sure this list will be dismissed by many a HorrorHounds (let's be honest. Practical Magic? For real?) ... as HorrorHound Magazine would clearly land John Carpenter's classic Halloween of the more modern anthology, Trick 'r Treat, at the top of our lists ... but it's always interesting to see what the vast population says about their screening habits during the holiday.
